@boexbass Indeed he is. His voice is so versatile.
Scott is great
Smoking… what you have to remember is all the superstars of the sixties smoked. Paul McCartney for example, he could still sing like a beast.
its amazing how he looks so different. every time we see him.
and his voice changes and sounds so different of all the time. hes got Talent!!
God DAMN. Scott Weiland is definitely one of the best vocalists out there today, along with chris cornell.
In my opinion Scott’s one of the greatest singers of all time. And the smoking really hasn’t done anything to his singing voice. He still pulls off high notes as good as he did back in ’96 when “Tiny Music” was released, and he smoked back then too. Billy Joel is another great singer who always smoked. He can’t pull off the high notes like he used to, but that’s understandable because he’s 60. Scott’s only 42. And I personally think he’s looking better nowadays than he did when he was on heroin.
@oregonannie : let him smoke…it’s the only time he hasn’t got a needle in his arm
Why did he never sing this well with Velvet Revolver, he was always kinda monotone in VR.
It’s so wonderful how Scott’s voice has recovered from the damage that was done to it during his heroin use. Hopefully he can quit smoking some day, too.
he is a brilliant singer
Scott has a lovely voice. If he keeps smoking, that can go away.
Scott smoking is the least of his worries… leave it alone… he sounds phenomenal..
Nice little interview. Any way we could get Scott to quit smoking(only saying this because I care).
oh, and i forgot to mention: PLZ do a whole CD of standards this way. you will rake in the cash while you are making people happy that an album like this could even exist in this crappy day and age. PLZ! we need it. : )
WOW! I love it! I love the old standards, too, so this is just great to hear!
It’s so rare to hear Christmas music post-1950s that’s worth listening to. I’m very picky with my Xmas music. And this sounds great, just like an old crooner. Never heard it before!
Very cool indeed – thx to the SDR family and SW for this timely holiday track!!!
Awesome to see Scott singing Christmas song! Only good vocalist can do wide range music from alternative rock to classic old standard. I can’t wait till new STP album! Merry Christmas to you Scott!
Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, Hey dude, you’re right, I met you and your wife many years ago, very, very nice, but not plush, the first time in any case, faces, eat, take a gym and tell me your woman’s face is hot; Never Get My Old Friend, men are Bastards, rock you
